II.1.7 CTE and CME calculations

A linear dependence of the temperature on the location through the laminate thickness is assumed:

T (z) = T_{0} + z T_{, z} .

Similarly, the water uptake depends linearly on $z$ :

H (z) = H_{0} + z H_{, z} .

The calculation of laminate response to hygrometric loading is very similar to its response to thermo-elastic loading. Therefore, the following developments are carried out for thermo-elastic loading only, and are then transposed to hygrothermal loading.
